1-inch difference Light Multi Scale BTB is now available!
BTB705LM (Light Multi Scale) is a new BTB model concept.
The scale of the BTB705LM is 34 inches on the 1st string side, the same as a standard bass, and 35 inches on the 5th string side for a comfortable low-B sound.
This exquisite “1 inch difference” is far from the “hardness” often associated with multiscale basses, but at the same time, it gives a bouncy bass sound that cannot be achieved with long scale basses.
The BTB is designed to be “easy to be accepted by everyone” with a design that is not limited to any scene or genre, and a wide range of sound, while being particular about material selection and manufacturing, just like the Boutique Bass from which the BTB is derived. We are aiming for “BTB” that can be easily accepted by anyone.
This is a bass that expands the range of multiscale basses, and is distinct from conventional BTB models, increasing the options for the 5-string bass itself.
5pc maple & walnut neck with graphite reinforcement rod
The 5pc neck is made of a combination of maple wood and hard walnut wood for a clear sound image and rich attack. The rigidity of the neck is reinforced by graphite rods installed inside the neck.
The neck back is colored in the same color as the body and has the same finish. (NNF: flat finish, CTL: low gloss finish)
Neck-through-structure body, 35 – 34″ multi-scale
The through-neck construction provides long sustain and rich resonance, and the seamless feel of the neck-back is one of the BTB’s most distinctive features.
The scale is 35 inches on the 5-string side, a characteristic of the BTB, and 34 inches on the 1-string side, a multi-scale.
This is a unique design of the BTB-LM model that minimizes the difference in playing comfort from a common long scale bass while ensuring a core sound even on the lower strings where the gauge is thicker.
Flame maple/ash/okoume wood laminated wing body
Flame maple top, ash and okoume wood are laminated on top of each other to create the wing body, which gives each piece a different appearance.
